Updates, Announcements, General Catching Up

1) The fact that Machine Girl hasn’t updated the last couple of weeks is completely my fault. Ben sent in some edits to the manuscript, and I haven’t had a chance to do anything with them and get the next chapter sorted out to post. I’ll post a new chapter tonight or tomorrow.

2) Black Alice is not forgotten! James and I are working on editing our original manuscript. We’ve had two false starts at a sequel, both of which were published here and neither of which we’re terribly happy with. While we’re busy beating that into submission, we’re also at work on prequels! Weeeell… less “prequels” and more fleshing our first novel out into two (or possibly three) books with more character development, more world development, more plot, more action, more horror, more fun, and just generally all around making it more awesome.

3) Grass-painting is a thing. Because with this killer heatwave causing massive droughts and crop failures, clearly your lawn is your biggest problem.

When this summer’s harsh U.S. drought turned her prized lawn brown, Terri LoPrimo had it painted green, making her suddenly lush-appearing yard the envy of her neighborhood.

The New York resident hired a local entrepreneur to spray the grass with a deep-green organic dye. No watering was needed.

I’m sorry – I can’t not be snarky about this.

Marci Sischo

After watching her parents murdered by a mugger in a back alley, Marci Sischo grew up vowing to become the world's greatest detec -- wait, that's Batman. Theorizing that one could time travel within her own lifetime, Marci Sischo stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished -- no, no. That's Dr. Sam Beckett. Drat. Marci Sischo grew up in northern Michigan, and moved to Oregon in 2009. Yes! She's the Commuter's webmaster, pursuing a journalism degree at LBCC, and in her dwindling spare time, she's co-authoring an urban fantasy novel.
