This Sunday, the Greek League at OSU met in the intramural field behind Weatherford Hall for their league semifinals. I caught part of the game between Phi Gamma Delta and a team of mystery opponents whom some in attendance believed might have been Sigma Phi Epsilon. Or maybe Phi Kappa Psi. Or, quite possibly, random kids who wandered into the field to play ball in the rain, and none of the other teams noticed. Seriously. No one knew who they were, and when it started raining, everyone on both teams scampered off like a bunch of little girls before...

One of the coolest things about Corvallis is the art in the alleyways downtown. This was actually a selling point for moving to Corvallis. I would have moved regardless, since Corvallis had my James, but the alleyway art made me really like this town before I even moved here. Something about the kind of mindset that says to itself, “Hmm, these alleys, kind of boring, huh? Bit ugly. Let’s put some art up,” really appeals to me.

So, here’s my first assignment for Photojournalism class. The first one is for the grade. The second one is just because I thought it was funny. Sales rep Debbie Matthews discusses all the benefits of a CostCo membership with Fine Arts major Colin outside Takena Hall Thursday morning.
