We’re 11 days into the year, and I’m already pretty close to whipping 2017’s “books read” count. To be fair I’m accomplishing this by re-reading Mercedes Lackey’s popcorn Valdemar books, but eh, reading is reading and they’re fun.
Okay, guys, I read “Fire and Fury” so you don’t have to. It’s about what you’d expect: 300 pages of “Dear gawd, these people are so ridiculously stupid.”
Lots of people are kicking off diets and exercise this time of year, but here’s a thing you should think about too: your “media diet.” That is, the news you read and where you read it. In 2018, resolve to be better informed and read better news.

We had a lovely holiday weekend, and Christmas was a hoot. Our puppy, Aggie (now three months old!), and her brother, Potato (Jim’s sister’s puppy), came to Christmas and spent three solid hours roughhousing and wrestling while we opened presents and celebrated.
