Liveblogging the Trump presidency, one catastrophe at a time.
I wasn’t paying a lot of attention yesterday, but it doesn’t seem like it was a very big news day. House Ways and Means approved a big part of Republicare. The White House said Trump wasn’t being investigated for anything, which means that either Trump’s claims of Obama wiretapping him were completely baseless, or Trump implicated himself in a government investigation of the Trump-Russia contacts.
Meanwhile, the EPA chief, Scott Pruitt, said that carbon dioxide wasn’t a big contributor to global warming, which is wildly incorrect. Also, it sounds like Sessions actually met with the Russian ambassador three times, not two times, as he said.
Finally, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly says illegal border crossings at the Mexican border are down from 31,578 to 18,762 this year, likely due to Trump. Awesome. All we had to do to solve that problem was be utterly monstrous. Great.
