#YouTubeIsOverParty has been trending all day.

YouTube issued some updates to its alert system that notifies creators when their videos have had ads removed, and that’s causing a ruckus.

Variety has all the details, and the video above, as well as this one, cover the issue.

#YouTubeIsOverParty has been trending all day on Twitter because of the situation, but it’s mostly devolved into squawking about censorship and snarking about “safe spaces” and “trigger warnings,” which is annoying because that doesn’t have anything to do with the issue.

Meanwhile, Hurricane Hermine is aiming at Florida, which I only mention because doesn’t that make four hurricanes happening right now? There’s Madeline and Lester headed for Hawaii, and isn’t there a Gaston out there somewhere, too? That just seems like a lot of hurricanes all at once, is all I’m saying.

Guccifer 2.0, the hacker that busted the DNC and others, has been arrested.

And that’s pretty much it. Nobody’s talking about much because we’re all getting ready for our long weekend (and holy poop, am I ready for it). Is it Friday yet?

But wait, where do I comment? No comments, sorry. Talk to me on Facebook or Twitter, instead.
